Heart Card DIY

Handmade card fun continues!! This one is super simple and can be lots of fun.

Set Up:

  • White Craft Paint
  • Lace Strips
  • Dark red & Red Felt
  • Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue
  •   Time: Half an episode of Something Borrowed, Something New

Step One: Fold the Card

This one should be self explanatory. Take the paper and meet one end to the other end. Tip: Use the bottom of the paint bottle to pressure the fold straight.

Step Two: Cut your Felt

Take your red felts and cut a square of each. Fold them in half and cut a half heart shape to create your hearts. Have one heart be slightly smaller than the other.

Step Three: Paint the Hearts

Take your white craft paint and begin painting your heart design onto the card. To create this pattern I started with wide spaced large hearts, then filled in spaces with smaller ones, and so on and so forth, finishing with spots.

Step Four: Add Lace

Glue a strip of glue onto the card and place the lace on the strip. Cut excess lace!

Step Five: Glue on Hearts

First glue the hearts to each other and then glue the hearts onto the card.

Step Six: Add Interior (Optional)

There are many things you can do in the interior. I added another piece of card stock in red and also some painted heart embellishments. Your interior is up to you!

You're Done!!
Now write something sweet in there and give that card to your special someone! Check out With Two N's on Facebook give us a like and share your creations!
