Bunting Card

Mother's day is coming up, but it's always a good time to tell someone you love them! It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day! Say I love you with a cute bunting card! It's super simple!

Set Up:

  • Black Puff Paint
  • Yellow Embroidery Floss
  • Gray Felt
  • Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue
  • Embroidery Needle
  •   Time: Waiting for a pizza to cook, eating the pizza while puff paint dries, then put on Robot Chicken.

Step One: Fold the Card

This one should be self explanatory. Take the paper and meet one end to the other end. Tip: Use the bottom of the paint bottle to pressure the fold straight.

Step Two: Cut your Felt

Cut several squares of gray felt and then cut your triangles out of the felt, make sure they are long triangles not perfect. Tip: Cut more triangles than you'll need!!

Step Three: Add Your Letters

Take the puff paint and paint your letters onto each triangle. Puff paint takes awhile to dry so make sure you give it time before moving forward.

Step Four: Add Hearts

Cut hearts out of the red card stock and glue the heats onto the triangles for spacers.

Step Five: Sew the bunting together

This is so quick! Get your embroidery needle out and stitch the floss through each row of the bunting.

Step Six: Assemble the Bunting

Place the buntings onto the card where they will fit. Place dots of glue to the edges of the card where the floss is.

Cut the remaining piece of floss.

Place small dots of glue on the flags and place them to the card.

You're Done!!
